These are telling stories earlier in the continuity so it works like it should I guess. With DC's new compressed timeline Batman's been in action about five years but everything is canon unless they say it isn't. Oh and Damian Wayne is 10 years old give or take a few years. But Bruce met Talia while he was Batman.
