When I last listened to it no way was mike in control. 25/Mike had a cross talk going on and 25 was controlling the flow and callers.

The people who may call in and listen like it but I know I've been turned off from both shows due to content and lack of involvement from other staffers. Seriously they have to have stories from the front lines. When miller hosted they fucking rolled the stories out effortlessly, that well can't have dried up already.

2) Bubba threw Spice under the bus, as he absolutely considers this Spice's responsibility to manage the on-air talent, yet he couldn't have a professional conversation with Spice privately about his concerns. Instead, he emasculates Spice on the fucking air. Bullshit.
3) There's nothing fundamentally wrong with what 25 and Carl are doing on the DD. Give them some slack, already.
4) Bubba's proclamation that nobody will be on his air unless he meets them is just more of that "me me me" bullshit. He put Spice in charge. Let Spice deal with shit, and voice any concerns to him instead of stepping all the fuck over him.

After Bubba said for the zillionth time that he wouldn't get involved in the programming at the BRN, he not only got involved, but pushed Spice on the air to get Mike the fuck out and BL off the Thursday DD, completely usurping his authority and making him look like a piece of shit. Again.

Yes and no. Spice is taking things under consideration and thought BL would not speak unless spoken too. After more prodding, Spice came out with it and said that BL is not on air material. He may find a use for BL though, perhaps as an email person to find historical content.

Wait, bubba actually wanted Lawrence more involved, not off the DD. He sees some value in BL and wants to make more use of it. His point today was that they need to make more use of the people in the building. Spice agreed with this but there aren't a lot of people available. Spice just wants more people to step up and do what they need to do, or back up and admit that they can't do it so that they might be able to help and position someone there who can do it to do it.

I like the Daily Debriefing show. Its modeled after the Wrap Up Show which I hated and never listened to but I listen to the Debriefing every day. So in my opinion they are doing a pretty good job. I did like it better when Miller was on it though.

I have, but honestly, after seeing Bob do stand-up (and laughing my BALLS off), I just can't watch him holed up in his house doing a fucking stickam show. His career has been a combination of him self-destructing, some really shitty luck, and being taken advantage of. He's got way more talent than success.

People who pay good money for spots listen to that show and notice that this guy Mike has been on 2 weeks in a row, and his pawn shop is making money from the show and he hasn't had to spend a nickel.
Great way to lose sponsors, not to mention dissuade anyone from sponsoring any show on IO. This is what he meant by "not knowing" him.

After review of the audio, the stuff Spice said was an eye-opener. I know that I'm eager to talk to the fans and share my opinions and things of that nature, but I also know that every now and again, I get a little lengthy with the topic, and tend to vear off course. When Carl said no to having me on, I think he was saying that he likes me, but is under the opinion that I’m not behind the mic material. That being said, Spice said the same thing, I like his approach better, talk only when addressed.

Lawrence, whether you know it or not, it's an overreaction, it's Bubba being a dick, sticking his nose in programming decisions when he said he wouldn't, not letting Spice do his job, not addressing something he is unhappy with in a professional manner. You have been improving on the air, and I have little doubt that you would continue to improve, given time and mentoring. It's a shame you're not likely going to get that opportunity.

Not that I think Mike's piss-ant pawn shop is disrupting the entire advertising model of radioIO, but I still think this was more of a ego-driven reaction than a business reaction by Bubba, and he STILL should have dealt with the issue professionally by having a private discussion with Spice, explaining to him why he thinks this is a bad idea, and allowing Spice to agree with him. Instead, he throws Spice under the bus, on the air, after he's said repeatedly that he would not get involved in programming decisions.

They did figure out what to do with Lawrence. He did the recaps. For whatever reasons, he didn't want to do them, so that was that. I don't think an "Ask Blind Lawrence" show is going to gain much traction. Maybe Bubba should just torture him every couple of months? :jj:
