Anybody else heard that Marc Chase is coming to run IO, and Randy Michaels is going to be on the Board?
As fot what "that" is any guesses? Kevin Smith started his own smodcasting, so I doubt he's coming over.
Drew Garabo tweeted that it was the best day of his life since his child was born - the other day. Anybody know if he signed up for a nightly show?
I also heard something about a new streamimg deal with Verizon as opposed to the current servers on Icecast.
What other rumors, if any has anyone heard?
1) Heard quite a few rumblings about that one. Seems very likely to me.
2) Beats me. I thought it was Kevin Smith too. Sounds like they're constantly working towards getting more people on board, but who knows when that will happen.
3) Drew said it's a "separate opportunity" from radioIO.
4) That's new to me, but good news if it's true.

Marc Chase presented with Bean at some investors conference. It was in the press release. Marc and Randy have been joined at the hip for a long time. Back to the Jacor days.

I couldn't find any coverage of the event whatsoever. Did anyone report on what was said?
apparently they were trying to sort out the golden ticket debacle

It was probably 10 people in a hotel conference room.

Speaking of Golden Ticket, I have 10,000 shares of IWDM, I could give a shit less about 100 shares at .13 I'd rather have a RadioIO T Shirt.

Dayum. What did you buy it at? I know milkman made some cash off it by buying it cheap and selling it when it went up a bit.

I bought in all over the place from .11 to .40 probably averaged out at .25, hoping that some good news is coming soon. I have read bad shit about some of Bean's former partners pumping and dumping the stock, keeping the price low. I hope its not true or they soon run out of stock. They don't have shirts that I know of, but they should...

Apparently Stanton and some of those guys may be on their way out but who knows. Any news about the company is incredibly slow to materialize.

I signed up an account there a while ago while considering getting a bit more IWDM stock, but don't really say much since I don't really know that world too well. I also can't seem to cancel all the e-mails that site sends me via the user options, so I just mass delete them. :jj:
That's where I saw the custom playlist rumor but I can't find anything else on it.
I heard Jabs is coming back to bubba's show...

Really? That would be great if true. I miss hearing a female voice in the studio on a daily basis.

If I had to guess, it leaked out on accident. I think it might be "that" that they were talking about months ago. They played ICP as bumper music today, then Bubba said that he would like to ride out to it a little longer.... I'm not that interested in ICP, but I think they will bring in listeners to IO.

Yup. It's probably a matter of getting the contract signed. Someone seriously screwed up putting that on the radioIO sandbox site.

Fucking shit isn't happening for radioio fast enough. They better not fuck this up! From the 4th quarter results:
Liquidity and capital resources
We have generated operating losses since inception. We have incurred net losses of $509,644 and $512,837 for the six months ended June 30, 2011 and 2010. We may continue to experience net operating losses. Historically, we have relied upon outside investor funds to maintain our operations and develop our business. We anticipate raising additional capital within the next twelve months from investors for working capital as well as business expansion and we can provide no assurance that additional investor funds will be available on terms acceptable to us. If we are unable to obtain additional financing to meet our working capital requirements, we may have to curtail our business. Revenue increased by $393,281 or 105% , in the six months ended June 30, 2011 to $766,472 compared to $373,191 for the six months ended June 30, 2010.
It would also seem, from the SEC filing, that there were 2,817 qualified early enlisters. That's all. I sure hope there are a bunch of month-to-month and year-to-year subscribers.
I don't freakin' get it. Bubba's show is one of the best radio shows on in the entire country. There are more laughs and shenanigans on the BTLS show than on Stern. It's EASY to like the show, with the personalities and talents they have there. You would think they'd bring more people to radioio.com, maybe even have them in a positive cash flow situation in the short term (2011). Sadly, that's just not happening.
Fucking depressing, man. :(
I made a new thread for it.

Thanks. I was too lazy, and too depressed by some of the "don't be surprised if we tank" comments in the filing. I don't want to be hearing that shit. I want to hear that it was all expected, part of the business plan, and here's how we see things improving until we get to a point in 20xx that we are cash-flow positive and, shortly thereafter, producing some EBITDA.
Not seeing that. :(
rumor has it - IO might go broke before bubba's 5 years are even up.

It's a three year contract.
It's a three year contract.

and I was referring to how bubba said he figured he would retire in 5 years...
then again he also said he'd like to quit FM and that's a bunch of bullshit IMO

Nah, he's just too busy with too much going on and stress.
If he'd just command the microphone and let the crew do their jobs the show would always rock and he'd always love doing it.
Too many distractions right now. Why does he have to do keep going all over the place?
He loves radio and radio loves him.

It's a three year contract.
Yeah, but if there's no cash to run the business, the business declares bankruptcy and it's over.
Frankly, it wouldn't take much - relatively speaking - to run operations for the next several years. You're only talking a few million bucks, and that includes talent. Nothing like the heavy lifting SiriusXM has to do.
I would be shocked if they didn't see this through.

well he got into most of the distractions himself..
but the heather thing if true, has to weigh on his mind and suck out energy to do the show...
at least the racing is located in one spot now and he can just race at ocala anytime he wants.
