Seems like the expected Saturday launch isn't going so good. The site is slowed down and they are experienced login issues. I am sure this will be corrected by the end of the weekend.

well the site didn't go down last night when they said it would....

looks like this update was ill-fated from the start...

I dunno what kid of database they're using but I think they need to change it ;D

I think they've done fairly well up until Tuesday. But this update failure is absurd for a company that's been doing this for decade. They're making Bubba look bad and themselves look like an amateur operation. I'm sure they'll get it to work soon, but this is only serving to put off listeners that are already skeptical of the service.

And who takes the brunt of the listeners wrath for this fuck up? Bubba and Spice. Two guys that have nothing to do with the technical aspects of getting the service working. I have had a good experience with radioIO customer service and it's obvious they care about their subs so I really can't say anything bad about them. There's good people working there, they just need to get all the bugs worked out.

you know if bubba was smart he should have extended the early enlistment for this entire week - I bet he would have got more subs in after everyone heard all the new specialty shows and seen the potential in the channels

I was one of the skeptical ones. I lobbied hard for the trey, but opted to get the 12.99 service. I cancelled Sirius and Gamefly this week, signed up for RadioIO last night. Now this morning I can't log in. If they put the stuff all on Bubba 1 and extend the free months as they are already doing, I'm not going to freak out. I guess I'm just being punished for being a prick.

It's the new look. It let me login no problem. Trouble is, the Bubba section doesn't seem to recognize I'm logged in.

They updated the desktop app to v1.97 which has Bubba Two. You have to download it and tell it to replace the version you currently have running, which is probably v1.96. Unfortunately, I get dead silence right now. :jj:

I can get on, but can't seem to download any of the old shows they have up, although reading the summaries provides a good reffrence.

I gotta wonder how much battery you lose streaming a 2 hour show? Or even the FM show...

you'd think that would drain one of those smartphones?

If I had to guess, it probably varies greatly depending on the phone, type of connection, etc.

actually, verizon iphone...I can stream fm show, uncensored, and wrap up with 30 or so percent remaining...most times though, I keep phone connected to a charging source.

yeah I'd think charging while listening is the best bet for keeping your battery life and from it eventually shrinking (fuck I hate that with batteries)

by the time the canadian data plans get cheap enough the batteries in these things will probably last a month without charging

Now it's not letting me log in.

I used my username instead of my email, and the correct password. that was my problem for the login.

However, there is no stream coming from the site.

Same basic deal here on the iPhone. FYI, the mobile site is all updated and you can log in and get at Bubba 2. No mobile download capability, but I'm not even sure they were adding that in the first place.

Looks like they segmented the problems and took them on one at a time, it just would have been nice if they would have fixed some of this stuff before it was all supposed to be fixed on Saturday morning.
