Who's gonna get one? I have had the original iPad since November and have enjoyed it. Think I am gonna sell it on gazelle.com and put the money towards a new iPad 2.

I'm waiting for one I can load my own O/S into... I'd like one with ubuntu or the real Mac system on it...

I did see a nice 30'' touchscreen desktop model though that I could see myself getting if they got cheap enough... but not at $3,000

I'll stick with my Macbook Pro. I have no real use for a tablet.

Thoroughly impressed with it and the new apps for it, but I'm not sure I can justify the cost for now. My current iPad does just fine for what we use it for.

just like basic online stuff? scheduler? Giant Phone Book? Coaster? :lol:

I did like that phone thing you can buy for them that is like a home phone receiver - and you just plug it into the ipad and use it to call people online with VOIP

Well, first and foremost - it was an impulse buy last year.. but - we also do development so we wanted one to have for that purpose.

Seriously there are some good games for it, it's a great reader too. I have an iPhone so I don't use it as much as I should. it's unparalleled for travel though. I take it rather than a laptop now when I go on trips. My wife uses it now for school. She takes notes on it and other stuff. Basically, I'd use it more if I wasn't such an Apple fanboy and had so many other devices lol.

Dude, good call on gazelle.com, I had no idea that site existed. I'm probably not going to get one until the next generation, but I like what they're doing with this model. The place for tablets is absolutely the couch. I use it to read or to surf the net, it works great for that stuff.

I ordered my iPad 2 last Saturday evening and should be getting it by this coming weekend. I'm really looking forward to it. Oh, and gazelle.com game me $333 for my original iPad.

I was thinking about getting my wife an iPad2 (her use for the internet is limited to recipes, shopping, email and web surfing related to the kids' activities), but two things kept me from pulling the trigger:

1) No display upgrade.

Nothing against the current display, but I had nothing against the iPhone 3g display either, until I got the Retina display on the iPhone 4. So crisp and clear! Truly remarkable, quite frankly, and I expect to have a Retina display or close to it on the iPad.

2) Cameras are awful.

I'm sorry, but in this day and age, to have a 0.7 megapixel camera in a 2011 computing device is just criminal! Yeah, I know, "it's not meant for still photos, it's meant for video". Bull. Unacceptable as far as I'm concerned.

No, I'll wait another generation.
